I agree 100% with you Joliene this was my 4th time to New Orleans and my 1st to Carpenter's House and even though i arrived there all by myself . I left with a bunch of dear new friends in my heart. Carpentes House is a blessing to those that volunteer and the residents as well.
If anyone wants to see the face of God in the midst of tragety the Lower 9th ward is the place to be...I should return in due time God willing....shalom....

Thank you so much for allowing us to come down and help with getting the center built. I had so much fun and learned so much about my self and the true meaning of Thanksgiving this past week. I also was ministered to the simple message of the Lord, love. If we love each other we can't go wrong. Jesus welcomed every one with open arms and loved them and we should do the same. I can't wait to come back and see the progress and help out some more. I hope ya'll have a blessed Christmas holiday and rest of the year. Till next time.

Our group just finished working at CH2 and Miss D's house on St. Maurice just around the block from CH2. We were so blessed by the neighbors on St. Maurice who stopped by to visit while we worked painting (all 5 rooms plus windows!) It was such a blessing to see this house transformed with color and knowing that it is going to be more than a house -- it is going to be HOME. Helping to make the kitchen, baths, and sleeping rooms at CH2 close to ready to meet the needs of the neighbors and incoming teams was an experience we will long remember. We will be back next year!

hi judy did you get my e-mail concerning the scholastic materials, in case you haven't yet well try to use the enter key to enter the name of the student instead of using the mouse to click the (ok) icon.
the materials were developed to be used on windows 3.1 and windows 95 , and it appears that the mouse comand on windows ex is not recognized. once you enter the students name. you can use the mouse to navigate thru the program just click (go) and you are on your way. i am hoping to came back soon God willing but if i don't i will mail you the fourth a grade set that i took. bless you and may the Lord be with you...ps this sunday i will be doing a presentation at my home church , i hope you don't mind that i will be promoting carpenters house and it's work ...shalom....

WOW!!!!!!!!!!God is good !!!!!!!!!! all the time!!!!!!!!! We just got through on thursday afternoon handing out backpacks to the kids.What a joy to see their faces .We give out a 155 !!! Thanks and may GOD bless all who gave to this outreach.......While watching the kids and volunteers I was thinking CHRISTmas is around the corner..... HELP!!!!!!!! We need presents to hand out
